The cost of the Website is determined by its content, size, structure and general complexity. The cost really depends on what needs to be accomplished for the Website creation. We do not believe in open-ended quotes which can spiral out of control - we will always quote a fixed price, drawing up a proposal describing the functionality of each section, number of graphics and scripting and database elements if required. However, we will be flexible and these details can be modified with any additions charged at an extra cost.

We can use your own graphics providing they are of good quality and can scan from brochures, corporate literature etc - this will save on your budget as well as ensuring consistent brand marketing. Each of your graphics can be modified or resized as is neccessary. If you prefer, your graphics can be created from scratch but bear in mind, custom graphic work is one of the major costs to a Website. If you can supply us with digital text, this will greatly lower your cost.

Monthly costs of hosting your website start at as little as £10 per month. Database-driven websites with automated online transactions will cost a little more. Registration of your Domain Name is only £30 for the first two years and £10 per year after.

When you're going to have someone design and implement a Website, make sure to address the topic of copyrights. S.O.S does not charge for transfer of copyrights. Though the right is retained to be listed as author, with a small link at the bottom of your first page, S.O.S gives you full copyrights to all your Web pages. This means you can do with your Website whatever you want. You can make changes and make as many copies of the graphics as you want. Or, implement your site in multiples or any way you desire with no obligation. Some Website development companies will charge an additional fee to transfer copyrights and some will also require a link at the bottom of every page.

Another item to enquire about, is changes to your site. Many companies have a minimum charge when making changes even if you just want a phone number or paragraph updated or reworded. We charge only for the amount of effort required to effect the change/addition required - i.e by each half hour for changes and can even offer training so that you can update the site yourselves.
